I had some time to check out the revamped Ritz Hotel in Sea Point and it was definitely worth the visit!
Glamorous interior welcomes you as you walk in, but my favourite feature is the gold sculpted tree that made an impression of note! It reminds me a lot of the Jonathan Adler sculptures that’s part of my online collection. It’s amazing!
The Ritz offers amazing views of the ocean and the Sea Point area. It held its prideful place for the last 45 years and now it has been reconstructed to unveil renewed splendor.
The Cigar Lounge is a place that I will visit all the time! Situated on the 21st floor of the building, it will definitely become the hotspot for after-work drinks. You will find the more sophisticated Champagne Lounge on the 22nd floor for pre-dinner bubbly and sundowner cocktails, with local DJs spinning laid-back beats from late-afternoon.
For many this would be a highlight and a favourite part of the hotel… The interior is amazing! When I was here, all I wanted to do was stand and look at the design of this area. It’s perfect for the scenery.
Here it is again, my favourite feature!
The makeover came close to R120 million.
“It’s a beautiful piece of local architecture,” explains Lisa Carey, marketing & PR manager for The Ritz, “all it needed was a new lease on life.”
A moody colour palette with smoky mirrors and velvet chairs. Amazing!
