METALLIC TOLIX
CHAIR

Robert’s Comment

Originally designed by Xavier Pauchard in 1934, our units are true to the original design that is recognised worldwide. They are also known as the Paris café chair as they were used extensivley (and still are) in cafés across the city. Their unique french look will add some industrial chic to your interior.

Unlike our competitors our units have a special coating applied to them which reduces scratching. We have sold many of these pieces to heavy traffic restaurants and I am always proud when I see them years later still in very good condition.

Timeless and stylish with multiple uses

Story of the piece
Originally found in the traditional bistros across France and first designed by Xavier Pauchard in 1934, it is rumored that they were created for use in the weather forecasting room on French battleships. The steel Tolix Chair is definitely not just for bistros anymore. Also known as the French Cafe Chair, it is one those timeless, versatile pieces that seem to work anywhere
