Delivery & Payments

DELIVERY

We are an online retailer and deliver nationwide. We do not allow for order collections from our office or warehouse. The service we offer is a door-to-door service. This means that the shipment is delivered to the address not the person. i.e. If the person is not available it can be left with anyone at that address e.g. security, staff, reception, etc.

We draw stock from various vendors nation wide. These vendors being: direct importers, local manufacturers/ craftsmen and artists. The logistics of doing this as a retailer operating nationally require some time. Goods are drawn from the various vendors, grouped into our stock and then given to our couriers. Please allow up to 10 working days post receipt of payment for delivery. We are unable to promise delivery any time sooner.

CHARGES

Major centers are charged at R105 per item with a minimum charge of R450 applicable.

Please contact us for a quote for outlying areas.

No deliveries can be made during weekends or public holidays.

The customer must ensure that the place of delivery is accessible, that the product delivered can fit into lifts, staircases or through doors and that all relevant areas have been cleared prior to delivery. This includes the removal of all breakable objects. No products can be hoisted over balconies or through windows. The customer accepts the risk of all damages that may result due to non-compliance by the customer.

We do not offer a placement service and the couriers are just required to deliver the goods to the delivery address provided. They are also not required to remove the product/s from their packaging, or remove the packaging.

Some goods are delivered unassembled to certain cities. Simple assembly is then required. Please refer to the detail given on the website about each particular product and city.

RECEIPT AND INSPECTION

The customer is required to inspect products on delivery. The customer OR the person taking delivery on behalf of the customer will be required to sign a proof of delivery (POD). Unless indicated to the contrary on the POD, it is deemed that the product has been delivered and received in good condition. Robert Thomson.com cannot be held accountable for any damages that are not detailed on the proof of delivery.

PAYMENT

HOW TO PAY VIA EFT?

Simply email us info@robert-thomson.com your details and the details of the product/s that you would like to purchase and one of our consultants will reply with a Pro Forma invoice with our banking details. Once payment is received we will confirm your order with a Tax Invoice and details of your delivery.

HOW TO PAY WITH CREDIT CARD?

Should you wish to pay via credit card you can pay via the safe and secure PayFast gateway through our website. This is for individual purchases up to R15 000 maximum. Before proceeding to check out please email us info@robert-thomson.com to confirm that stock is available.

PayFast accepts Visa and Mastercard.

Trade clients registered with our trade program may not pay with credit card.
